PAINTING LIKE PIERRE BONNARD, April 7, 2016
Students chose an oil painting by Pierre Bonnard to recreate in watercolor. Each student found a different element of his style to emphasize: bright color, light in the corner of a room, light in a landscape, or light on skin.
HOMEWORK
Here are three paintings that students did at home, inspired by the project of painting flowers like Emil Nolde in class.

LOOKING AT NOLDE, PAINTING FLOWERS - March 24
This week students studied the watercolor paintings of flowers by Emil Nolde, and then set to work painting daffodils and callas. The project was to paint loosely without planning.
