THREE LEAVES, THREE MEDIA, THREE GREENS, March 17

This time students took a close look at leaves, especially the green colors of the leaves..  Using various media, they painted three leaves. each leaf in a different way.  The media used were just watercolor alone, watercolor pencil, and drawing pen with watercolor enhancement.

A BARE TREE LOOKING UP, March 10, 2016

For this first class, students use limited color in order to emphasize line, texture and form.  The subject was bare trees, reflecting the season.  The view was looking up into the branches of the tree

PAINTING A TURNER August 20, 2015

After doing an exercise to experiment with water and to practice layering colors, students used reproductions of  W.M.F. Turner's oil paintings to make their own versions of "Turner's".
