This was a class to experiment with color and form abstractly. Students did a series of exercises. First they painted dabs of color which they let run together. When this dried, they put a geometric shape on top of the first layer to create a sense of space.

For the last exercise, each student took an example of a painting by the outsider artist J.B. Murray and did an interpretation of his work.
